Loyalty Tiers
Loyalty Tiers Now Support Multiple Entry Criteria
You can now combine up to two entry criteria within a tier using
AND
or OR
logic. For example, you can require customers to spend $1,000 and
make 3 purchases, or meet either condition to qualify for the tier.
Note
: Only Amount Spent and Number of Purchases can be combined within a tier. For the other entry thresholds, you can select only one per tier.new
Loyalty Campaigns
Introducing Loyalty Campaigns
Loyalty Campaigns are here
. You can now create targeted, time-bound promotions for specific customer audiences directly from the Yotpo admin. The first available campaign type is Points Drop Campaigns
, which lets you instantly award bonus points to selected loyalty members and set a defined period for them to use those points.
Use Points Drops to:
- re-engage dormant customers
- reward VIP members
- support seasonal promotions
- encourage customers to make a purchase within a specific timeframe
Campaigns also include performance metrics, so you can review audience engagement and purchasing behavior after launching.

Loyalty Tiers
Number of Purchases Is Now Available as a Loyalty Tier Threshold
You can now use the
number of purchases as a Loyalty Tier threshold
, making it easier to reward customers based on how often they shop at your store.
Use this new threshold on its own or alongside Amount Spent and Customer Tag-based tiers to build a tier program that fits your loyalty strategy.

View Tier Downgrades in Customer Rewards History
We've
improved Loyalty Tiers visibility
by adding tier downgrade events to customer rewards history and customer loyalty profiles in the Yotpo admin. You can now see a complete record of tier changes, including both upgrades and downgrades, making it easy to track shopper history.
How it works
:
When a customer moves between tiers, the event is displayed using the
Rewards history text
configured for the destination tier. If a customer loses their tier entirely (for example, after opting out of the loyalty program, when there is no base tier to downgrade to, or when the loyalty program is deactivated), a Tier dropped
event is recorded instead.Note
: This update applies to new tier changes going forward. As shoppers increasingly use AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini to discover brands and make purchase decisions, we've introduced
new ways to improve your loyalty program's AI visibility
.Yotpo recommends two ways to help AI assistants understand your loyalty program:
- Publish your Rewards Page in Shopify using the Rewards Page Widgets app block. This automatically enables machine-readable enhancements that make your Rewards Page easier for AI assistants to access and understand. If you're using another implementation method, see our implementation guide.
- Add a dedicated loyalty program FAQthat clearly explains your rewards, tiers, referrals, and redemption options.

Visit our Help Center for step-by-step guidance on both recommendations for optimizing your program’s AI visibility.

Points-Based Loyalty Tiers Now Support Multi-Store Setups
Customers can now qualify for loyalty tiers using points earned across participating stores in a multi-store setup when your program uses a
Points Earned
threshold. The Customer Service role is now available in Yotpo, giving merchants a more focused way to grant support teammates access to the areas they need without exposing configuration settings, account settings, or bulk export permissions.
What’s new
- The Customer Service rolecan now be assigned to support teammates in Yotpo.
- In Loyalty, Customer Service teammates can manage customers and import Loyalty points.
- In Reviews, they can moderate reviews, manage Q&A, and manage Bundle Reviews.
- In Visual UGC, they can curate visual content.
- Bulk exports, settings, analytics, billing, API secrets, and account-level settingsremain restricted to higher-permission roles.
Why it matters
This role helps merchants give support teams the access they need to resolve customer and content inquiries, while reducing the risk of accidental changes to settings or exposure to sensitive account data.
